Convention Center Policies

While you’re having a great time at Furvana, we request that you following these policies at all times when on Convention Center property:

  • Please do not affix or hang signs on walls or other surfaces without consulting staff. Specific methods and adhesives must be used to ensure no damage is done.
  • Outside alcohol is not permitted in the facility. The Convention Center will have alcoholic beverages for sale during select times.
  • Smoking, including electronic smoking devices, is only permitted 25 feet from doors and any open windows.
  • Pets are not allowed within the convention center, with the exception of working service animals.
  • Costumes, fursuit heads, masks, and other face coverings are permitted in all areas, but if there is a relevant security concern you may be asked to remove your mask. If this occurs, we ask that you please comply with staff and security personnel.

Getting There

Travel by Car

From the northeast:

  1. Take Interstate 5 South towards Olympia, WA.
  2. At Exit 104, take US Route 101 North.
  3. Keep Left to stay on WA Route 8 West. If you prefer the scenic route, stay on 101. See below for details.
  4. Stay on WA Route 8 West until it becomes US Route 12 West in Elma, WA.
  5. Stay on US Route 12 West until it becomes US Route 101 North in Aberdeen, WA. Note that the route takes some residential streets through Aberdeen and Hoquiam. Please mind your speed!
  6. In Hoquiam, turn left on WA Route 109 West.
  7. Turn left on WA Route 115 just north of Ocean Shores. You're almost there!
  8. Turn left on Point Brown Ave.
  9. Take the West exit at the roundabout for Chance A La Mer Ave.
  10. You should now see the convention center on your right! Welcome to Furvana!

From the southeast:

  1. Take Interstate 5 North towards Centralia, WA.
  2. At Exit 88, take US Route 12 West. If you prefer the scenic route, you'll want to take exit 36B much earlier instead. See below for details.
  3. Turn left to stay on US Route 12 west in Elma, WA.
  4. Stay on US Route 12 West until it becomes US Route 101 North in Aberdeen, WA. Note that the route takes some residential streets through Aberdeen and Hoquiam. Please mind your speed!
  5. In Hoquiam, turn left on WA Route 109 West.
  6. Turn left on WA Route 115 just north of Ocean Shores. You're almost there!
  7. Turn left on Point Brown Ave.
  8. Take the West exit at the roundabout for Chance A La Mer Ave.
  9. You should now see the convention center on your right! Welcome to Furvana!

Scenic route from the northeast:

This route adds approximately 210 extra miles to the trip but will take you around the Olympic Peninsula and Olympic Natural Park, one of the most beautiful natural treasures in the state of Washington. You'll see three distinct ecosystems in the rugged, rocky coasts, stunning glaciated mountain, and lush temperate rainforests.   1. After taking US Route 101 North from Olympia, keep right to stay on US Route 101 North instead of taking WA Route 8 West. You'll stay on US Route 101 for approximately 250 miles as it winds around the Olympic Peninsula.
  2. When you reach Humptulips, WA take a right onto Kirkpatrick Road.
  3. At the end of Kirkpatrick Road, take a right onto Ocean Beach Road.
  4. Take a left onto Copalis Beach Road.
  5. Keep left as the road becomes WA Route 109.
  6. Turn right on WA Route 115 just north of Ocean Shores. You're almost there!
  7. Turn left on Point Brown Ave.
  8. Take the West exit at the roundabout for Chance A La Mer Ave.
  9. You should now see the convention center on your right! Welcome to Furvana!

Scenic route from the southeast:

This route adds approximately 20 extra miles to the trip but will take you along the banks of the Columbia River and up the Oregon Coast in Wallapa Bay, past the Long Beach Peninsula before heading inland.

  1. Take Exit 36B from Interstate 5 North in Kelso, WA for WA Route 432 West.
  2. Turn left on WA Route 4 West.
  3. Turn right on US Route 101 North.
  4. In Aberdeen, WA turn left to stay on US Route 101. Note that the route takes some residential streets through Aberdeen and Hoquiam. Please mind your speed!
  5. In Hoquiam, turn left on WA Route 109 West.
  6. Turn left on WA Route 115 just north of Ocean Shores. You're almost there!
  7. Turn left on Point Brown Ave.
  8. Take the West exit at the roundabout for Chance A La Mer Ave.
  9. You should now see the convention center on your right! Welcome to Furvana!

Travel by Bus

The Greys Harbor Transit system runs from Olympia to Ocean Shores and the surrounding area. For more information, see www.ghtransit.com. You can reach Olympia by taking any of the other common public bus and train systems in the Puget Sound area.

From Olympia:

  1. Take Greys Harbor Transit Bus #40 toward McCleary/Elma at the Olympia Station.
  2. Disembark at Aberdeen Station.
  3. Transfer to Greys Harbor Transit Bus #60 toward Hoquiam Station/Ocean Shores.
  4. Disembark at the Ocean Shores Shelter, Chance A La Mer Ave.
  5. Walk across the street to the convention center. Welcome to Furvana!

Travel by Air

The SeaTac and Portland airports are the closest international airports to the convention center that offer commercial flights. A rental car or other means of transportation would be needed to reach the Ocean Shores Convention Center. The Ocean Shores Municipal Airport located within Ocean Shores, and the nearby Bowerman Airport in Hoquiam, WA do not offer commercial flights.

Parking

Parking is free at the Convention Center and on the surrounding streets.

The parking lot has approximately 800 spots with plenty of handicap accessible spaces. The parking lot is open 24 hours, but you may not camp or sleep in your vehicle.

If you plan on parking at your hotel, individual parking policies may vary. Refer to each hotel page for more information. You should not park at a hotel for which you are not a guest.

Parking of RVs/Campers is permitted, but you may not camp or sleep in your vehicle.
