Guests of Honor

Soren

This year we’re proud to announce Soren as Furvana’s newest Artist Guest of Honor! A career artist for her entire adult life, and an artist by heart since she was old enough to hold a pencil, Soren has a fantastic showcase of talent that's a purrfect fit for bringing this year's theme to life, Furvana Vice!

Soren has an art degree with a major in illustration, and has worked with companies that produce many multimedia works including t-shirts, mugs, prints, and more! Soren has also been in love with fantasy art from an early age, and became more directly involved with the furry community over 7 years ago. We're very happy to be able to showcase her talents here at Furvana 2023.

Ash Coyote

Ash Coyote is a film director and YouTuber based out of Colorado, just recently relocated to Portland Oregon in our beloved Pacific Northwest! She has worked on a variety of film projects both furry and non furry related. In 2020 she released THE FANDOM with her co-director Eric "Ash" Risher.

Ash has been an avid YouTube creator for over 4 years, and has worked professionally in film for over 15! A winner of numerous awards, including Best Feature Film at the 2021 Los Angeles LGBTQ+ Film Festival, 2020 Ursa Major award for Best Non-Fiction Work, and a 2020 Good Furry award! Ash is an endless font of filmmaking knowledge and enthusiasm, and we're very proud to have her joining us for Furvana 2023!

Meep

Meep will be rejoining us as a second artist Guest of Honor for Furvana 2023! You may remember Meep as our 2021 Artist GoH, however the challenge of COVID-19 prevented her from attending the convention in person. We're happy to give her the chance to return with the honor she so rightly deserves!

Meep has been drawing art since she could slap mud on a fence, and has since refined her talent with years of self-taught practice and some time in the Art Institute of Seattle. She's been a furry for over 14 years, and has called the Pacific Northwest home nearly all her life. Meep is the creative mind behind the character design of our mascot themselves, and has provided several pieces of wonderful artwork featured in our posters, publications, and our really awesome cardboard standees!

Kirisis

Kirisis "KC" Alpinus is a passionate and deeply sensitive writer who can usually be found with her nose buried within a book. A magna cum laude graduate of Tuskegee University and current graduate student of the University of Calgary, most of this chaos goblin's free time is spent playing a variety of indie games on her Nintendo Switch, collecting hordes of miniatures that she will never finish painting, playing Magic: The Gathering, or building one of her many gunpla or Zoids figures.

Kiri's contributions to the fandom include being an author and award-winning editor for CLAW: Volume 1 and SOAR: Volume 1, adult and general audience anthologies, respectively. Her written works appear in Inhuman Acts; Give Yourself A Hand; Thrill of the Hunt (which she co-edited); HERE., a BIPOC-created and -developed zine; and numerous other furry literature-related items. If you happen to perceive her (memes are the standard go-to if you'd like to try), she can be found helping volunteer at any of the largest fur cons or enjoying the mountains near her home in Calgary, AB with her loving partner (in crime), Ocean Tigrox. Caution though: both of them are funny, fuzzy gremlins.

You can find her at @SwirlyTales for writing, editing, and other book-related things, or @Darheddol (where she is undoubtedly an agent of chaos).

Remember to hug dholes and be the change you wish to see in the world!
